Challenges to end extreme poverty are still huge but not impossible to overcome. The post-2015 development agenda will be the new road map to a global and harmonized development. As for the US Agency for International Development (USAID), a new model of development is needed to face challenges and to reach a world without extreme poverty. This new model is based on high-impact partnership to get efficient and durable results.
The US global development lab is a hub gathering innovators ans entrepreneurs that set a new standard for development. Another illustration is the development credit authority which allow USAID to partner with private companies to help people afford some goods or services. Next, Power Africa, an initiative of President Obama, connects entrepreneurs to investment opportunities in the sector of energy in Africa. Lastly, the grand challenges for development and the development innovation venture fund are created to encourage scientists, inventors and entrepreneurs around the world to be problem-solvers.
Dr. Rajiv Shah, the Administrator of USAID, recommends all people involved in small or big development agency to harness partnership and innovation and make the dream of a world without extreme poverty a reality.

Allow humanitarian access in Syria
The Security Council adopted unanimously the resolution 2139 (2014) this 22 February to demand access for humanitarian aid in Syria. In this resolution, members of the SC call for the end of all forms of violence and condemn the rise of terrorism as well as the use of weapons against civilians.
We know that UN's purpose is to maintain International peace. And the UNSC is working to this end through the adoption of resolution like this one. We know that diplomacy is official way to end conflict but an important part of the work is done in the field, negotiating with all parties, understanding each other, helping them communicating and building together a trustful agreement for common goals and values.
The UN is trying to do its best by protecting innocent civilians and children. Saving lives is its day-to-day work. Humanitarian access to conflict zone is permitted by International laws due to the respect of human rights. UNSC resolution is a message to the parties involved in Syria crises and to the International Community that human rights are not respected in the country and this resolution is a sanction to the Syrian authorities.
Wait and see until the next round of negotiation conducted by Lakhdar Brahimi.

Journée mondiale de la radio 2014
La date d'aujourd'hui, 13 Février 2014, est reconnue comme la Journée mondiale de la radio, célébrée partout dans le monde afin de reconnaître le rôle important de cet outil médiatique.
Bien qu'elle ne peut pas rivaliser avec ses paires télévisions, journaux, Internet quant à l'occupation des parts commerciaux, la radio reste et restera toujours le média à même de percer au fin fond des villages. La radio, dans cette mission communautaire, est celle qui libère la population enclavée d'une sous-information, quand bien même elle a un objectif d'éducation.
Cette année, les femmes sont mises à l'honneur en mettant en lumière le rôle de la radio et l'égalité des genres. Ce thème n'est pas fortuite car on sait très bien que dans les villages ruraux, la femme possède un grand rôle dans la famille et dans la communauté villageoise. Ainsi, contribuer à l'amélioration de leur sort et au développement communautaire serait un bon défi pour ces médias de proximité que sont les radios.
L'UNESCO, en tant qu'agence des Nations Unies consacrée à la communication, a tenu à faire un appel, à travers sa Directrice Générale, Irina Bokova, à l'endroit de tous les diffuseurs, pour encourager l'égalité des sexes et le plein épanouissement des femmes et des hommes dans et à travers la radio.
Que cet appel soit bien entendu et appliqué tous les jours à partir de maintenant.
